  • Detalis: GYNEMED GM501 PVP is a 10 % dialyzed polyvinylpyrrolidone medium designed specifically to reduce sperm motility, making it easier for embryologists to capture individual spermatozoa for ICSI procedures. Composition & Specifications Contains dialyzed PVP (10 %) of European Pharmacopoeia grade dissolved in an aqueous solution that includes physiological salts, HEPES buffer, lactate, pyruvate, glucose, and human serum albumin (~4.00 g/L). pH (37 °C): 7.20 – 7.90 (release criteria: 7.20 – 7.60) Osmolality: 280 – 320 mOsm/kg Sterility: sterile, SAL = 10⁻³ Endotoxin level: < 1.00 EU/mL Viscosity (25 °C): > 170 cP (centipoise) MEA performance: ≥ 80 % of blastocysts after 96 hours when sperm are exposed for 10 min to PVP medium. Usage / Protocol Warm the PVP medium to 37 °C before use. Place a small drop (5-10 μL) of PVP solution in a dish, overlay with GM501 MineralOil. Add a small volume (1-2 μL) of washed spermatozoa to the centre of the PVP droplet. Wait a few minutes to allow sperm to migrate toward the edge of the droplet. Select the sperm and collect them for injection (ICSI). Storage & Stability Shelf life: 9 months from manufacture. Storage temperature: 2-8 °C. Do not freeze. Keep away from light. After opening: Safe to use up to 7 days under sterile conditions if kept at 2-8 °C. Precautions & Warnings Contains human serum albumin (a blood derivative).
