Detalis: GYNEMED GM501 SpermAir is a ready-to-use medium designed for the preparation and selection of motile spermatozoa in assisted reproduction techniques (ART) such as IVF, ICSI, and IUI. It can be used for sperm washing, swim-up, and density-gradient centrifugation, and is suitable for processing testicular tissue as well. Composition The medium is HEPES-buffered and contains: Physiological salts: NaCl, KCl, KH₂PO₄, MgSO₄·7H₂O, CaCl₂·2H₂O Energy substrates: glucose, lactate, and pyruvate Human Serum Albumin (HSA) — 5.00 g/L, providing protein support and sperm membrane stabilization HEPES buffer (≈ 21 mM) to maintain stable pH outside of CO₂ incubation Gentamicin (10 mg/L) as an antibiotic Phenol Red as a pH indicator Specifications pH (37 °C): 7.20 – 7.50 Osmolality: 270 – 290 mOsm/kg Sterility: SAL = 10⁻³ Endotoxin level: < 0.25 EU/mL Usage Instructions Warm the medium to 37 °C before use. Do not equilibrate in CO₂ incubator, as CO₂ will acidify the medium. Suitable for sperm washing, swim-up, and gradient separation. Use only if the solution is clear and the container is intact. Storage & Stability Store at 2 – 8 °C, protected from light. Shelf life: 6 months from manufacturing. Once opened, use within 7 days under sterile conditions and proper refrigeration.
