Detalis: GM501 Cult is a ready-to-use culture medium buffered with bicarbonate, specifically formulated for fertilisation (IVF) and subsequent embryo culture from Day 1 through to the blastocyst stage. It may also be used for embryo transfer. Composition & Specifications The medium contains: • NaCl, KCl, KH₂PO₄, MgSO₄·7H₂O, NaHCO₃, CaCl₂·2H₂O Gynemed • D(+)-Glucose, Na-lactate (50% solution), Na-pyruvate MBT-Srl Medical Biological Technologies • EDTA, Alanyl-Glutamine, essential & non-essential amino acids • Human serum albumin at 10.00 g/L pH (37 °C, 6 % CO₂): 7.20 – 7.45 Osmolality: 270 – 290 mOsm/kg Sterility: Sterile, SAL = 10⁻³ (Sterility Assurance Level) Endotoxins: < 0.25 EU/mL MEA Performance: At least 80 % of embryos reach the blastocyst stage after 96 hours starting from the zygote state. Usage Instructions The medium must be equilibrated overnight in a humidified CO₂ incubator (5-7 % CO₂, 37 °C) before use. It is suitable for embryo culture both under oil and in open culture systems. Ensure aseptic handling; do not use if the container seal is compromised, or if the medium is discolored or cloudy. Storage & Stability Shelf life: 6 months from date of manufacture. Store between 2–8 °C. Do not freeze. After opening: can be used safely up to 7 days, if sterile conditions are maintained. Precautions & Warnings Contains human serum albumin (blood derivative). Though processed to minimize risk, handle all specimens as potentially infectious. If the product contains gentamicin (depending on variant), the possibility of antibiotic sensitivity must be considered. Planer Use only for intended clinical laboratory use.
